We engaged TeamBA as our dedicated technical management and production team for our 20th anniversary Community Rail Awards, which were held in Newcastle Civic Centre in March 2025.
From the outset, the team, led by Luke Bodin, were professional, accommodating and went above and beyond to support us and to ensure that we delivered an exceptional event, which we absolutely did! TeamBA’s management of the event production on the day was exceptional, and we have already secured their services for our 2026 Awards in the Midlands.
Luke leads from the front, he is a positive, consummate professional, with a brilliant eye for detail. His priority is to provide the client with top quality service, and that ethos runs through the whole team, along with that wonderful positive attitude.
We worked especially closely with Libby, who created a suite of video slides of the quality you might see at more international style Awards, and even through multiple amendment cycles, she was always patient and professional. Nothing was too much trouble, and that really is the attitude of everyone in TeamBA. It is a real pleasure working with them, and I suspect, we’ll continue to do so for years to come. From initial concept through to execution and everything in between, TeamBA have been brilliant to work with and made the whole process seamless. Their planning is meticulous which made the day itself more than what we could have hoped for. As daunting as it may seem to hold a big event with over 200 people due to attend, TeamBA have got everything under control and guide you to create a day better than you ever imagine. I reached out to TeamBA as I initially required AV support for a stakeholder conference but after meeting Luke and his team, I felt complete confidence to hand the management of the event over to the team. They took care of everything from venue sourcing to sending out the invites, managing RSVPs, being on hand on the day to support with the meet and greets, hosting, and so much more! Working with TeamBA was a pleasure, I felt I was working with close colleagues, not representatives from an external company. The pace of organising the event was fast paced yet felt relaxed. TeamBA are more than just an events company. They really managed the event seamlessy from start to end. They really get under the skin of exactly what it is we need from them and the outputs that we’re looking at for the day. And because they’d done the first event they were familiar with what we did the previous year and worked with us to ensure that we didn’t deliver the same event again. There were some differences to help keep it exciting and rngaging for those that were in attendance. And they also took the pressure off ourselves in terms of their delivery on the day. They brought a lot of energy into the room and they realy got people engaged.
It has been a genuine pleasure to work with TeamBA and Rennie Consulting on the design and delivery of our refresher training. Filming in a live railway environment with frontline teams is always a challenge, but the skill and patience of this team ensured that the final product is slick, professional and, most importantly, emphasises the importance of delivering fantastic service to all our customers, no matter what their personal circumstances are.
Rail Delivery Group used TeamBA’s expertise and support to successfully deliver our first purely online rail industry performance seminar in March. TeamBA are a very professional company and we found them to be very pleasant to work with and efficient in delivery. They were able to provide software options and utilise their extensive experience in the use of various online collaboration systems and tools to up-skill the core team, supported the seminar presenters and provided tech support of the day for our 150+ delegates in the use of web-based technology too. TeamBA also showed good project management discipline in co-coordinating the event with us, ensuring the event ran to time and cost, with the desired quality outcome.

Chairman and Director Luke Bodin
Luke is a young entrepreneur who co-founded TeamBA in December 2016. He is the Managing Director of the business who is responsible for delivering great events for our clients.
His favourite quote is “whatever it takes” from the Avengers film franchise and he is still trying to get over the death of Iron Man. He loves travelling, sport and food.
Ian Walters
Ian is an experienced Director with a strong background in the railway industry. In addition to his role at TeamBA, he is the co-founder and Managing Director of SLC.
As a qualified accountant and finance director, Ian brings a wealth of financial expertise to the team. Known for his ‘tell it as it is’ approach, Ian is driven by his passion for work, family, and Watford Football Club.
Ben Dalton
Ben is our Operations Director at TeamBA, overseeing the seamless execution of projects and ensuring every event exceeds expectations. Before joining the team, Ben was the Director of HR consultancy, E3i, where he honed his skills in leadership and strategic management.
Libby Dale
Libby is our Lead Graphic Designer, bringing a wealth of experience in crafting high-quality digital and print assets for a variety of creative projects. Her keen eye for design ensures every project is visually impactful and aligned with your vision.
Mike Travers
Mike is our talented videographer, bringing years of experience in documentary filmmaking, creative video production, and storytelling through film. His eye for detail and passion for capturing powerful visuals make him an essential part of the team.
Neil Micklethwaite
Neil is the Chairman and a Director at TeamBA. Neil is a dedicated and dynamic professional, combining strong leadership skills, business acumen with extensive experience gained from working in senior commercial, business development, customer service and financial environments.
